Post Seniors: Estelle Keaveny Haapala

An illustration of Estelle by Lula Hugo.

Most likely to join a commune with an ideology based on astrology.

During Estelle’s third and final year on the Post, she has been an editor for the Variety section. Other than the Post, her favorite class she’s taken at Franklin has been Creative Writing with Ms. Vinger. If Estelle were a dragon, she would be sparkly pink and green, “like an Easter egg.”  What she’ll miss most about the Post is “[t]he wonderful, delirious staff and having the opportunity to simply write for fun all the time!” Estelle’s looking forward to “[s]eeing the world and expanding [her] horizons,” something she’ll hopefully be able to do while attending the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa to study journalism or creative writing.
